Conformance Target
Chancery is designed to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This is a design and development target, not a certification claim — accessibility is an ongoing effort, and this page will be updated as the platform evolves.
What We've Built In
- Full keyboard navigation, including a "Skip to main content" link on every page
- Visible focus states on every interactive element (a minimum 3px ring, never relying on color change alone)
- Minimum 4.5:1 contrast for body text, verified against every background it appears on
- Status, classification, and workflow state are always shown with a text label or icon — never color alone
- Form fields include explicit labels, helper text, and inline + summarized error messages
- Motion respects
prefers-reduced-motionthroughout, including charts and page transitions - Minimum 44×44px touch targets for primary actions
Known Limitations
Some data visualizations (charts) rely on visual comparison; every chart in Chancery has the same information available in an adjacent or exportable table. If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please let us know using the contact information below.
Reporting an Issue
If you use assistive technology and encounter a barrier anywhere in Chancery, contact your IT Service Desk or System Administrator. Include the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using — this helps us reproduce and prioritize the fix.
